Vintage Scarves, oh how we love thee, but...is there a different way to wear them??

Why, yes, yes there is.

Secure around the neck and turn around so the ends flow down the back. It adds a very elegant, sophisticated touch. I particularly like the bow in these first 2 photos. Ideally, it would have been a bit more 'crisp', but I like it nonetheless.
